Holistic yoga is not necessarily a specific style of yoga, but a way of integrating the practice into one’s life. Holistic yoga focuses on the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health of the participant, in a way that offers a lifestyle and healing approach to yoga. Practicing holistic yoga means incorporating postures, breath work, meditation, and other yogic elements into your everyday.
While there is no specified way to practice holistic yoga, the eight-fold path of ashtanga yoga provides a blueprint. Holistic yoga combines the traditional, spiritual aspects of yoga with whole-body healing. Here are a few more things you should know about holistic yoga.
