To practice sahaja yoga, you can start with a simple meditation to awaken your kundalini energy. First, sit comfortably, either on a chair or on the floor. Hold your left hand with the palm facing upwards gently on your lap and close your eyes. Place your right hand on your heart and ask yourself silently, “Am I the spirit?” three times. Next, place your right hand over the lower part of your stomach, and ask “Am I my own master?” three times. Place your right hand over the upper portion of your stomach, and repeat six times, “Please may I have the pure knowledge?”
Then, repeat 10 times, “I am my own master.” Place your right hand on your heart and repeat, “I am the spirit,” 12 times. Put your right hand on the left side of your neck and repeat “I am not guilty,” 16 times. Place your right hand on your forehead and say, “I forgive everyone.” Repeat this statement as many times as you feel necessary. Place your right hand on the back of your head, saying, “Please forgive me if I have made mistakes,” as many times as you wish. Place your hand on the top of your head, rotating it clockwise, and say, “Please give me self-realization,” seven times.
