Mother of 2 girls!
I worked at Bank of America for many years. But after my first kid, I was feeling anxious most of the time . . . instead of responding to situations, I was reacting.
One day, I was aimlessly flicking through TV channels, I came across an Indian Yoga Guru named Baba Ramdev. I started following him & practicing Suryanamaskara & Pranayama.
After 15 years of staying in the US, I moved back to India in 2015. I was looking for a yoga studio to deepen my knowledge & practice. At first I started with 3 days a week but I couldn't stop! So I started going 5 days a week!
Pranayama helped me so much. It calmed my mind and made me feel at peace. Yoga became a HUGE part of my life.
I finally decided to become a teacher and I completed my training at Ashmayu Yoga in Bengaluru, India.
As far as my teaching style, I am an Ashtanga practitioner and I incorporate sound meditation bowls during shavasana which help release stress & improve sleep.
