Yoga is a journey to discover your true self. As someone who practices yoga, It helps me clear the mind and hear and see though the noise and blurred vision

To me Yoga is the poses, the meditation, the breathing, the eating and the way of life, Yoga helps me perform the self care my body needs.

Yoga is derived from root word Yuj, which means three things.

            1. State of absorption (with consciousness)
            2. State of connection (Individual and Universal self)
            3. Censuring of thoughts waves
              Om.

Anirudh Universal self is the source of this Individual self. Yoga philosophy says that our existence is beyond this body-mind. So the universal self is father to this individual self/soul. It is like drop in ocean, drop also has same quality as ocean.

The sutra sthiram sukham is criteria for how asana should be and done.
Any position can be called asana if it is-
Sthiram- stable, still and yet relaxed
Sukham- done with ease and happiness

Ramanujan R How can the concept of saucha (purity) be applied to our modern digital lives, including our interactions on social media and our consumption of online content?

Anirudh Shaucha means purity or cleanliness. It refers both outwards and inwards (mind, thought) cleanliness or purification.
Yoga always means moderation or yukta in whatever we do (eating, movements, sleeping, digital media). So whatever we do moderation is the key.

Penny I so agree. People think it’s just the practice, but everything outside of class too encourages us to apply this same mindfulness no?
