We’re three months in with the Yin for Perimenopause & Menopause class Mondays 930pm EST and I wanted to share our learnings and also reiterate this series is for anyone moving through change, whether that’s perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

If you’ve noticed changes in your body, your energy, or even in how you respond to things, this space is designed to support you, gently.

If you’ve been to my nervous system-focused classes, you’ll know we often work with down-regulation, rest, and settling.

Here, we’re not just calming the system but beginning to notice patterns in the body and experience, building understanding, with a little insight through the lens of Chinese medicine.

Over the past few months, we’ve worked with:

    • conserving and supporting deeper energy
    • improving digestion and overall function
    • encouraging smoother movement through the body
    • settling the system without force

Here’s some feedback from students and their heart rate numbers post class:

This May, we begin to look at a slightly different layer:
At different stages of life, certain patterns can come into view, sometimes physical, sometimes emotional.

We’ll use the lens of the Yin organ systems in Chinese medicine as a way to gently understand experience in the body:

    • Kidney — steadiness in times of change
    • Spleen — mental load and support
    • Liver — frustration and movement
    • Heart & Lung — clarity, space, and letting go

Each class will remain slow and grounded, with mostly Yin postures and minimal instruction.

At the end, there will be a brief, optional moment for reflection, either quietly or through journaling.

Join us; we’re building a community of women who are eager to learn and share their wisdom.

    Much love,

    Annelise
