I have taken Iyengar Yoga with different teachers and despite all their different methods of teaching, I think they are all great at what they do. I guess every teacher has different styles of teaching. With that being said, I like Arpitaβs classes both relief for back pain and Iyengar. Unfortunately I can not take her classes because school takes up most of my time. Thank you.

You are right Pinane, different Iyengar teachers have different styles.
As I said in my earlier comment, ( talking about something completely different
,) itβs all very subjective.
My preference was Pranjalβs style, because her classes always progressed so methodically with a logical reason, a clear aim and a and potential benefit behind every single exercise, however simple. Her instructions were extremely detailed and precise without ever repeating herself unnecessarily, and she held the pose probably longer than most teachers, often repeating that same pose with further instructions to enable the students to correct their mistakes. For that reason, her classes were slow paced and did not cover a large number of asanas, which for some people could become tedious. Though not for everyone, this is the type of Iyengar class I prefer, because I observed how beneficial it was for strengthening, particularly my arthritic hip. -
