Special Thanksgiving Metta: Holding the world gently
-
Hi everyone,
Tonight we’re gathering for a very gentle Thanksgiving evening practice, something spacious, calming, and collective. Yin Yoga at 930pm EST/630pm PSTSome research suggests that when groups meditate together, collective stress decreases and communities experience more coherence, calm, and connection. Whether or not every statistic is perfect, the idea itself is powerful: inner peace radiates outward. When we settle our own nervous systems, it affects the field we share with others.
So our theme tonight is: Holding the world gently.
The practice will be slow, soft, and grounding: easy shapes, Samputa and Hridaya mudras, and a quiet metta-style meditation for peace. And if you’re not able to join us LIVE, please
light a candle at 930PM EST, pause for a moment, and offer a simple wish:
May I be at ease.
May we be at ease.Would love to have you with us, in whatever way is possible for you tonight.
