Your daily life should have system and discipline. If there’s a great movie showing on television you’ll stay awake until oneam for it. If anybody has a party, you will be having fun all night. As long as there is a question of eating and drinking, you keep chewing something in a while. Not because you’re hungry but because you don’t have a shortage of food. Your fridge is full of lots of things. Nowadays people don’t eat to live, they live to eat.
The importance of discipline is from the building of a system, a system in life. Should be a certain time to sleep, wake up, eat, work and relax. ‘Anu’ means micro elements and governance means controlling. Thus discipline means ruling, controlling your micro expression. Subtle expression is tension, which is not controlled by humans. The mind is not fickle that the tension starts. When wish is not fulfilled, food or cloth is not available, stress is done. What is commonly called stress is indeed a subtle expression of the mind. When the desire of the mind is not fulfilled, when the lust of the senses is not fulfilled, then tension arises. Once stress arises, happiness, peace and peace of life ends.
Discipline means control over these subtle conditions of mind so that you don’t have stress. In short, relief from stress is Yoga - Ath Yoga: Discipline. Stress is subtle. It’s not necessary that stress is always conscious. Unconscious and semi-conscious tension also happens. All these subtle expressions of mind distort our mind and intellect, dividing our conscience and peace. The same stress later affects the whole personality and makes life quad. Therefore discipline is required, and the method to achieve discipline is yoga.
By being free from our micro tensions we can control and govern our personality and nature, become the masters of our lives - Tada Varupe Avasthanam ॥
