More Classes on Hormonal Balances and Women Wellness
    Ratula DattaR Ratula Datta

    Hello,

I have been in MYT platform 8 months. I really love practicing yoga with some of the good teachers over here. I wish they could add more group classes on Hormonal Balances and Women Wellness. The ones which are ongoing now are at 5 or 6 am which is tough for me to attend because of work or getting the kids ready for school. I shared this feedback couple of times with care team but addition has been made till now.

That’s 6:30 a.m. in the Midwest, still too early for me.

4:30 is too early for most people and I mentioned 5 in my message. That’s the reason most people from est that I referred the app to are not joining. Instructors are excellent but to capture clients from all time zones you should focus on time zones. Also class level. Can’t have all intermediate levels. Add on for beginners and newbies as well

bhagvad gita predates it about balancing the inward/outward breath. The outcome is a more balanced state of being. That state can be channelled into a higher experience or a calmer day or better relations

Hi Kalpana, understood. We do have a class at 4:30 AM EST - Yoga for Strength and Mobility. We would be creating more classes to cover all timezones 24*7.

Anirudh Love that question. I was discussing this with some of the nutritionists, just yesterday.

Yes, a lot of people turn to AI for their health queries. But when it comes to food and nutrition, that answers that AI generates, still has some factual inaccuracies that only health experts can spot.

AI’s responses are also biased, for example if you ask, “why is protein bad for me?” it will share information on those lines, not what is best for you.

Plus, AI is still not there, when it comes to personalizing meal plans, since the results are only based on the prompts. It does not factor the intricacies we explore in a nutrition consultation, that goes far beyond counting calories and tracking macros.

Meenu Preethi Balaji With the rise of personalized nutrition and AI tools creating custom meal plans, how much do you think technology should influence our diets? Are you excited about tailored nutrition plans, or do you prefer a more intuitive approach?"

    Group classes for evening EST

There are currently no group classes for prime time evening in EST. Between 5 & 6:30 are ideal to do yoga sessions prior to dinner time. All the classes in EST are either before 5 or 7 and after, which does not jive well with eating an early dinner habit. Any future plans for those of us in the east coast?

MyYogaTeacher | Group Classes | Expert Teachers - Live

We started group classes at the start of COVID and it’s time to rethink. From the beginning we used our freelance teachers to provide group classes. This of course worked great initially as several amazing and charismatic teachers built amazing communities. But our reliance on free agent teachers to provide group classes has had its challenges: o Hard to have 24X7 coverage for group classes: Our free agent teachers are focussed on managing this schedule – and rightfully so – but this leaves us with big holes in our group class schedule during night hours india times. o Hard to have consistent sessions that repeat: Group classes lead by amazing teachers are built around the teacher’s personality and it’s hard to have consistent, predictable and repeated classes with several teachers working together. o Bad habits have taken hold: Because the classes have been running for a long time or because of boredom or because our teachers are doing too much, we have seen bad habits creep into the group schedule. These habits like teachers looking at their phones in the middle of the session, turning off cameras, doing chores while in the class, spotlighting students etc. are having a negative impact on our client happiness. To address these issues, we are planning to hire and train a small group of teachers. These teachers will provide consistent, around the clock sessions. These sessions will be complemented by amazing communities/classes led by our amazing teachers that already exist - with more added when opportunities present themselves. Just to restate, we will continue to nurture and support great classes that work while augmenting them with standard basic classes that fill out the schedule. So great classes that you love are not going anywhere - if anything they will become better as we focus on improved quality and you will have a lot more choices and classes.
