    Hello Everyone!

    We love sharing transformation stories from our community and this week, we are sharing Karen’s Journey:)

    Meet Karen Vernal, a vibrant 75-year-old from Milwaukee and an inspiring member of our MyYogaTeacher community.

    Karen wasn’t dealing with a major injury or illness — but she knew that staying strong, balanced, and flexible was essential as she aged. She was looking for a local class when she stumbled upon MyYogaTeacher online. Curious, she gave it a try — and that small decision sparked a big transformation.

    Karen’s Transformation:
    • Pre-Yoga: Limited flexibility, difficulty getting up and down from the floor, poor balance, and daily movements (like reaching behind the car seat) becoming harder.
    • The Solution: Personalized 1-on-1 yoga sessions with her teacher, Priya Choudhary — focused on gradually improving mobility, strength, and balance at Karen’s pace.
    • The Results: Today, Karen can touch her toes, sit cross-legged, balance confidently on one foot, and move more freely than she has in years. She even managed her luggage solo during a 3-week Europe trip — walking 6–7 miles a day with ease!

    Karen credits her progress to consistent practice and the thoughtful guidance of her teacher.

    “Working with Priya has been one of the best decisions I’ve made this year,” she says. “I feel stronger, more capable, and confident in my body again.”

    Karen’s story is a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to invest in your health. With the right coach and the right support, small steps can lead to powerful change.

    More Classes on Hormonal Balances and Women Wellness

    Hello,

    I have been in MYT platform 8 months. I really love practicing yoga with some of the good teachers over here. I wish they could add more group classes on Hormonal Balances and Women Wellness. The ones which are ongoing now are at 5 or 6 am which is tough for me to attend because of work or getting the kids ready for school. I shared this feedback couple of times with care team but addition has been made till now.

    4:30 is too early for most people and I mentioned 5 in my message. That’s the reason most people from est that I referred the app to are not joining. Instructors are excellent but to capture clients from all time zones you should focus on time zones. Also class level. Can’t have all intermediate levels. Add on for beginners and newbies as well

    bhagvad gita predates it about balancing the inward/outward breath. The outcome is a more balanced state of being. That state can be channelled into a higher experience or a calmer day or better relations

    Hi Kalpana, understood. We do have a class at 4:30 AM EST - Yoga for Strength and Mobility. We would be creating more classes to cover all timezones 24*7.

    Anirudh Love that question. I was discussing this with some of the nutritionists, just yesterday.

    Yes, a lot of people turn to AI for their health queries. But when it comes to food and nutrition, that answers that AI generates, still has some factual inaccuracies that only health experts can spot.

    AI’s responses are also biased, for example if you ask, “why is protein bad for me?” it will share information on those lines, not what is best for you.

    Plus, AI is still not there, when it comes to personalizing meal plans, since the results are only based on the prompts. It does not factor the intricacies we explore in a nutrition consultation, that goes far beyond counting calories and tracking macros.

    Vaibhaw there is not much for eastern time zone. Especially between 5-7 pm and 5-6 am which is the best time

    Meena Iyer We have a class at 5 PM EST - “Gentle Yoga for Gentle Movement and Relaxation with Trupti Parikh”. We are also working on 24*7 class schedule for all timezones. We will be soon launching more classes for EST evening as well.

    Any future plans for those in the Midwest? Everyone wants to be accommodated in their time zone, and you can’t please everyone.
